HI-SPEED INDUSTRIAL SERVICE CELEBRATES 75 YEARS OF KEEPING CLIENTS UP AND RUNNING

Hi-Speed Industrial Service recently celebrated 75 years of keeping clients up and running. Founded in 1946, Hi-Speed specializes in repair and sales of electro-mechanical equipment (electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans and blowers); service, repair and construction of overhead hoist and crane systems; technology-enhanced predictive and preventative maintenance services; and round-the-clock availability. With locations in Millington, TN and Little Rock, AR, Hi-Speed provides services to clients throughout the southeast.

“We’re very proud to have reached this milestone in our company’s history,” says Ben Buffington, President and CEO of Hi-Speed Industrial Service. “Certainly, our team members and our valued clients deserve much of the credit for this accomplishment. The knowledge, talent, skill and reliability of our employees has made it possible for our customers to trust us with their equipment for more than 75 years – and that’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly.”

In celebration of its anniversary, Hi-Speed held a company-wide town hall meeting and awarded each team member with special edition Hi-Speed gear sporting the company’s new 75-year logo.

The company was originally called Hi-Speed Electric by Lewis Marus, who founded it in 1946 in Memphis, TN. Marus ran the business until 1978 when it was purchased by Jack Mock, William Wepfer and Wayne Pyeatt.  The Mock family continued to expand the business into additional cities across the Mid-South, including purchasing Allied Electric in Little Rock which now carries the Hi-Speed name. Buffington purchased Hi-Speed from the Mock Family in 2011.
