ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Rick Halsted is the Director of Sales for all Hi-Speed locations across its trade areas. In this role, he provides leadership and support to Hi-Speed’s outside sales team, equipping them with strategic tools to better serve Hi-Speed’s valued clients throughout the region.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE
With over 30 years of military and professional experience, Rick brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. During his career in the United States Navy, Rick held a variety of progressively responsible positions and served during multiple campaigns. His service instilled a powerful sense of discipline, strategic thinking, and problem-solving that he carries into his civilian roles. After transitioning from the Navy, Rick took on leadership roles in the construction equipment rental and manufacturing, including leadership positions at Sunbelt Rentals, JLG Industries, and Herc Rentals. Since joining Hi-Speed in September 2024, Rick has embraced the organization’s smaller size, which allows him to build closer relationships with customers and his team to tackle complex challenges.
EDUCATION AND INDUSTRY CREDENTIALS
Rick holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Mississippi. A resident of Olive Branch, Mississippi, he has also earned multiple certifications through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), including Incident Command, Emergency Management, Hazmat, and Workplace Security.

Throughout his career, Rick has been driven by a passion for finding solutions. He excels at addressing complex challenges and delivering exceptional customer support. Reflecting on his role at Hi-Speed, he shares, “My position allows me to collaborate closely with my team and our customers to ensure their operations stay up and running.” Outside of work, Rick enjoys scuba diving, cheering for Ole Miss sports, listening to Jimmy Buffett, and spending time with his wife, six adult children, and three grandchildren.
